Our NEFARIOUS RUSSIANS LIVE #2 show on the death of journalism happened this Sunday in NYC. The world premier of Evgenia’s short film D8DDY — about a desperate journalist who goes on OnlyFans — was a crowd hit. We had a great talk with Moe Tkacik about the sad state of our media class, and then opened up the floor to a discussion with everyone who came — which is always my favorite part of these things.
We’d like to think we had a role in helping elect Zohran Mamdani by bringing so many great people together in one place and raising the spiritual-political levels of NYC.
We had some equipment failure at the club so I’m not sure we’ll be able to release a recording, although I’ll try to salvage the sound if possible. In the meantime, here are some photos and clips from the film and from the Q&A. It was wonderful to see everyone in the flesh! Stay cool.
