Yeah there’s something very pathetic about Elon Musk. His hair tech system is a big tell. Even as a billionaire he lacks the confidence and self-esteem to let himself go naturally bald…he has to cover it up with the best hair plugs money can buy. No amount of wealth or success could convince him to be just himself…to be comfortable with the hair that god gave him. He needs body mod tech to feel himself a man. And that’s just sad. In that sense, he’s much closer to being a trans individual than anything else.

Apparently the hair cost $20,000.

Still there is a paradox to Musk. Even though he's got no self-esteem — or actually, probably because he's got no self-esteem — he’s been extremely public. He's inserted himself into American discourse more than any other oligarch today. He bought Twitter and today he’s the reigning king of the news cycle. He’s tweeting, quote tweeting, popping into live streams, replying to random influencer accounts, commenting on things, giving his opinion. He’s unstoppable. He wants people to know what he thinks. Other than Trump, he’s the most powerful influencer in America…an influencer so wealthy that he bought his own influencer platform.

So Musk craves attention. He needs validation. And these character traits have made him perhaps the most honest oligarch in America. But it’s bigger than just him. The deep unfillable black hole he has in his personality has opened a sort of truth portal into the mind of the American oligarch.
