Just want to put out a quick request: If you’ve liked my work on Oligarch Valley and California’s extractionist billionaire farmers, please consider supporting our last push to get our Pistachio Wars film done.
We now need to pay for the archival footage we use in the film in order to hit the festival circuit and show it to the public. As we found out, this stuff isn’t cheap.
We set up a GoFundMe to try to cover some of the costs. Please help out if you can.
We have a bunch of great historical segments in the film intertwined with material that we shot over the span of several years. To give you a sense of what these archival bits look like, here’s a short clip taken out of a longer segment about how California’s industrial agriculture rests on the creation of the biggest aqueduct system in the world, a destructive system of concrete rivers that runs up and down the state.
Thank you for your support!

25 buckaroos duly sent. Best of luck with it.
Done. Hope this film gets up and out there.
