As a crass American, I ask, is there any way to use this holocaust to improve the prospects for your film? Like hit up the big festivals again and ask if they'd like to reconsider now that it's such a timely topic? Or cold email all of the rich celebrities who have lost their homes and see if any would like to help publicize your film? Just spitballing into the fireball here.

It's not just southern CA, the whole southwest is dependent on similar terraforming particularly along the Colorado River, on a countdown to disaster even without the fires. But hey, wait until that aqueduct from the Mississippi gets online I guess.

Thanks for this very edifying post and also the work on exposing the greedy SoCal farmers. For those who want more information a very good read is Marc Reisner's book "Cadillac Desert". In that he describes in pitiless detail that collusion between SoCal politicians and the Army Corps of Engineers and the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) to keep building Dam after Dam in California all in a bid to completely hijack water from the Sierra Nevada and also Northern California in order to feed the fields in Southern California's arid desert so that rich farmers could keep getting richer and richer. It's been going on for a 100 years now.
