Entry #11: Caught in a lie?

Was texting back and forth with Leah yesterday after I got home. She was surprised by Moishe’s claim that he hadn’t seen Misha. She said she was certain Misha went to Moishe’s synagogue and that he went regularly. So what’s the deal? Why is the rabbi lying? Is that even allowed? Isn’t there a commandment against it or something?
